Infinite Baseball is an online radio station designed by media artist Dan Moore broadcasting an infinite stream of AI-generated baseball games that captures the rhythm, tone, and drama of a live sports broadcast.
EMMA provided the front-end architecture in Vue and Pixi.js and the majority of the web development support. Infinite Baseball was a collaboration with Antidode and Tim Nolan.
Leveraging the enormous body of statistical data available for baseball games, Dan trained a custom model to spawn an unending sequence of plausible games with play-by-play data. The web experience visualizes the hits, runs, and overall game state in real time with the announcers.
A customized interactive version of Infinite Baseball was installed in the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center as the "Berra and the Bronx Legends" Exhibit.
